Quite a while ago, I was about 8 or 9 I went to
someone
house, I can't remember the exact location, but I had a friend about 11
there
that was wearing jeans, long sleeved shirt, shoes and socks and there
was
this deep pond between to cliffs, well my friend dove off the left
cliff
into the water wearing what I just described, swam out, and walked out
with
his clothes all shiny dripping wet, it was the first time I discovered
wetlook,
but at the time I still did not know what wetlook was... But all
I
wore was cut-off shorts, t-shirt and shoes and socks, I couldn't wear
full
length jeans cause my mommy would not let me, and I only had one dry
pair
of them... Anyways. all I did was wade back and forth in the pond until
it
was time to go... Cause at the time I could not swim...
But
I still had a lot of fun seeing the other kids jumping and diving in
the
pond fully clothed! It was a very stimulating experience for me! And I
would
love to go back there someday and do it all over again!
Subject:
Nathanael's
first clothed bath (Before the discovery of Jimmy in 1996)
I was about 12yrs. old when I first had a clothed bath! I
filled the bathtub up as far as it would go! My parents and
brother
were away! I was wearing a jean jacket, sweatshirt (longsleve) a
t-shirt
under that with colar, dark blue denim jeans, shoes and socks.
When
the bathtub was full I sat on the edge of the tub and just slipped and
fell in belly first putting my head under the water. Then I
turned
over and by this time ALL my clothes were completly soaked! Then
I sat there for about 3 minutes to enjoy my wet clothes, then I bent my
knees to look at my shiny wet jeans, I turned over again and put
my head under again then surfaced, and then stood up and look at my
soaking,
water dripping in streams, and shiny wet clothes! I climbed out
of
the tub, my shoes sloshing water as I stepped onto the floor, and
walked
over to the mirror to get a better look at my wet jean jacket,
swearshirt,
and t-shirt! Then I saw that a lot of water was dripping in
streams
from my wet clothing so I sat back on the edge of the tub and fell in
again
belly first! Going under a third time and followed by turning back
over!
Then I bent my knees again to look at my shiny dripping wet
jeans,
and I scooted over just a little bit so I could go under the water
backwards.
When I had enough room, I stuck my head backwards or back first under
the
water and then made bubbles from my mouth and nose! Then I
surfaced
after about 10 seconds underwater which at the time was as long as I
could
hold my breath! Right now it's about 5 seconds! By the time
all five fingers are up like in the cartoons I drown! Anyway,
after
I surfaced I stood up one final time to look at my dripping in streams,
soaking and shiny wet clothes, I bent my knees and they were shinny
too!
I looked at the back of my jeans and from butt to cuff they were all
shiny
wet and dripping water! Then I turned around and plunged back in
face
first going under a fourth time followed by turning around and bending
my
knees to look at my shiny wet jeans again then I lifted my legs out of
the
water they were all shiny wet and dripping streams of water! And
I
continued this whole process until the bath water was too cold to stay
in
any longer! So then I let the water out and stood up one
last
time to look at my dripping and shiny wet clothes! Then I took
them
off in the bathtub, so I wouldn't get any more water on the floor than
I
already had gotten by this point! When I had all my clothes off
but
my underwear, I stepped out of the now empty tub, then I put my clothes
in
the washing machine on just the spin cycle I went through 2 spin cycles
because
the clothes I had were completly soaked clear through! After the
second
spin cycle I took the still wet clothes out and put them in the dryer
for
about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Then I went upstairs and put on some
dry
clothes! After an hour and fourty minutes were up, I went back
down
to check on my clothes, they were still damp so I put them on for
another
hour. After an hour they were as dry as a bone then I took them
upstairs
and put them in my drawyer to wear for tommorow! Ever since this
first
time, I went into the bathtub with my clothes on almost every
night!
Even when my parents and brother were at home my parents and brother
were
upstairs asleep when I did this and I hoped that they would not come
down
and catch me! But one night my father did! He caught me in
the closet litterly with my pants down! I was taking off my
wet clothes and hiding them in the closet! This was a mistake
because ALL the clothes from those previous nights of clothed baths
were still
there and had mildewed from not being dryed properly! I got a
very
stearn and angry mother and father at me when they found them!
That
stopped me for a little while, but not for long, but from then on I
waited
until my mommy and daddy are gone before I got all wet in the
tub!
And I've been doing it that way ever since! I never take clothed
baths
when their home or around the home my mommy already knows that I do
this
and she says don't hide the clothes, put them in the washing machine so
I can dry them. So from now on that's what I'll do! When I
take a shower with my clothes on, I will get pictures and will
take
my wet clothes down rolled up in a towel inside a red laundry bag that
I
have upstairs and put them in the washing machine like she said to
do!
But I am still shy about taking clothed bath when they are home and now
that they don't sleep upstairs anymore but right in the next room
across
from the bathroom, I am even more nervous about them coming in and
finding
my in the tub fully clothed especially my daddy and my brother!
My
brother still sleeps upstairs but my parents don't anymore! They
sleep
one door away from the bathroom where the tub is! So ever
since
the time that my daddy caught me in the closet and both mommy and daddy
found all the wet and mildewed clothes in the closet, I hid them their
out of fear of what they might do or say if they found them! I
FOUND OUT!! Over $200 worth of clothes were mostly ruined due to
mildew! Mommy
found them by the smell of them coming from the closet she just dug
deep
in the back and dragged them all out! Ever since then I couldn't
bring
it upon myself to take a clothed bath while their home! I'll do
it
when my brother is home but upstairs and not around! Maybe I
should
let them in on my wet clothes secret so they won't be a surprised when
or
if they see me in the tub fully clothed! I find this discussion of swim
dress interesting, but it's only one
half of the matter: Even if I am dressed going into a pool to hide
and protect my body I am exposed to see half naked bodies of other
swimmers. We have to avoid this absolutely (particularly we men being
attracted to carnal sin so easily). So my wife goes for a swim in the
municipal swim-hall the day when it's opened for women only (once a
week). Unfortunately this gender-separated days don't exist for men
too, so we decided that I renounce going for a swim and practise
other sports. We never spend our holidays on the beach in summer. So
we avoid seeing sinful behaving people.
I can understand your beliefs. What I have found hard to except is
that we as Christians run away from the water that God has created
for us because the world has poluted it. I think that as
Christians
we should be able to go into those dark places that the devil has
polluted and do what is right. I know it is hard for most to
go
into places like that where there is nakedness all around. That is
what each person will have to decide for himself on if he can handle
that kind of temptation or not and if not then he should not go into
places like that whether he be clothed or not.
Another thing to think about is the number of homosexuals out there
today. Even if you are swimming or showering with the same sex you
may be inadvertantly causing another person to stumble. I know this
is another subject but if you think about it wouldnt a homostexual
want to go to the showeroom to shower with others of the same
sex?
So should we go to places like that and let even the same sex see us
naked. That is just the kind of world we have been backed
into.
That is why we as Christians need to stand up now and start fighting
against the devil before he perverts the world any more. Lets
raise
the standard above the norm. Not conform to it or run from
it.
If
we truely have the spirit of Christ we should be empowered to do
what is right in this preasant world.

About Modesty In Dress And
Swimming
In Clothes....
If you are concerned about modesty in dress while swimming in public
establishments I have listed below a couple of ways that have been
proven to work in gaining permission from every establishment I have
tried.
The only exception to this is water parks where some rides they will
restrict what is worn for safety reasons. In that case I would
respect there wishes and not go on the ride. You do not have to
compromise your standards and take your clothes off just to go on a
ride. You can
have just as much fun on the other rides. Please read bellow for
info
on what I use to gain permission to swim clothed in public
establishments.
Tell them that you have Christian convictions that require you to keep
your body covered in public establishments and then ask them if it
would be ok to swim in a CLEAN pair of pants and shirt. Make sure
you specify clean! After you find that this works (and it does)
let them know also that other hotels, for example, have not had a
problem with it. I have also talked to the YMCA in my area and
they said it would be fine. I have not had the time to join so
donít know for sure
if they would let me swim in a thick material like jeans. I find
that thin materials are a bit to revealing and donít leave much
to the imagination. Also be aware that light colored clothing can
become
see through so be sure to try your clothes out in the shower before
swimming
in them. This may seam extreme but it is worth saving you from
any
embarrassment.
If a problem arises from #1 bring up the point about them
discriminating against your religious beliefs. I have never had
to use this form of action. I live in the USA and in this country
businesses listen to your religious beliefs. I donít think
I will ever have
to bring up this point to them but it should help them to reconsider.MY WET STORY!
By: Swimclothed
I do not remember when I first knew I liked getting
wet in clothes; I just seamed to like it from birth I
guess. I remember intentually falling into puddles
and pouring water on myself at a very early age (my
parents thought I was loosing control of the
urination). I didn‚t know how to swim and was afraid
of deep water and my parents never took the time or
the patience to teach me how to swim. Don‚t get me
wrong my parents did ok at raising me but they just
didn‚t understand the importance of learning how to
swim. I later on in my life when I was 25 took
swimming lessons at the YMCA and got over most of my
fear. I then took scuba lessons a couple of months
later and am now proud to be a sport scuba diver.
This has helped me tremendously in overcoming my fear
of water and hope to be able to become a certified
lifeguard in the future.
At a young age of 10-12 my parents sent me to a
Christian summer camp. It was a lot of fun and was
the first time in a pool fully clothed. I tried to
take swimming lessons there but had no luck there
because the instructor was to busy teaching other kids
who already knew how to swim and just wanted to take
the lessons to swim more. The way of teaching was to
dunk my head under the water until I got over my fear
but this just FREAKED me out because in my mind I was
drowning. This camp also had a lake where they had a
slide. Being a Christian camp and many Denominations
were present they had separate times for girls and
guys to use the pool. But the lake on the other hand
was different. The guys and girls used the slide at
the lake together but had to be fully dressed. This
is where the knowing how to swim part would have been
nice. The water was very deep there and no none
swimmers were allowed to use the slide. I wanted to
so bad but I knew I would have panicked and inhaled a
bunch of water. I would say that ≤ of the people
verbally enjoyed swimming in there clothes and the
other π didn‚t like the feel of wet clothes. I did
get wet on a canoe trip because the canoe had a leak
in the bottom and I had to sit on it to keep it from
filling with water. Now for the part where I was in
the pool fully clothed. All the supervisors held it a
secret that on the last night at the camp there was
going to be girls against guy‚s water volleyball
tournament. We were told to were an old pair of pants
and shirt and follow them (no shorts allowed at the
camp). After we all met at the pool we were all told
to jump in and that we were going to have a water
volleyball tournament. Most people didn‚t hesitate to
jump in but of course there were a few that cried
about it the whole time. I don‚t understand what they
didn‚t like about it but I guess that is why God made
us all different. I of course still didn‚t know how
to swim but since it was in the shallow end I just
walked around and dove for the ball when necessary.
It felt so great to move around the in the water in
wet jeans and t- shirt (can‚t remember what kind but I
never had name brand as a kid). I also remember one
of the leaders jumping into the pool fully clothed
when I was taking swimming lessons because some other
kids were teasing him. I know he liked getting wet in
his clothes and that is why he really jumped in. I
think I remember one of the other kids getting in
trouble for jumping in fully clothed. I also went
there another year and repeating the experience even
though I still didn‚t know how to swim. These
experiences let me know that I definitely enjoyed wet
clothes and has also helped me in this group and my
boldness in swimming clothed even when no one else is.
Christians have lost there standards when it comes to
being in water and I am going to do my part to keep
those standards alive. It seams to me that people ask
more questions when you are in shorts and a shirt
rather than in Jeans and a shirt. It‚s like they are
too freaked out to ask. Now I go to the public pools
and lakes and swim like I am the only one that knows
how to dress. I also get permission to swim clothed
before going in so as not to set a bad example of a
Christian. I haven‚t been denied the privilege yet.
You can find advice about this in one of the other
files in this group. Most hotels won‚t even allow you
to where a white t-shirt but I haven‚t had one not
make an exception and let me swim in my clothes.Business Trip #1
This trip happened about 6 months before I started
this group. I only had 5 nights at the perfect hotel
to swim clothed at. It had an indoor pool and the
room they gave me had a sliding rear door that exited
about 20ft from the shallow end of the pool. They had
no way of locking up the pool area but had someone
come around occasionally to check on it. I found out
this on my first night when my flight was late and it
was about half hour before close. I was just wadding
around in the deep end (a surprising 9ft) when an
older man came by and told me the pool was closed and
walked off. I waded around some more until he came
back around and I acted like I was just getting out.
Boy it really felt good to swim in my clothes after a
tiring day. I think that was my first time actually
swimming fully clothed in a pool. I had an experience
when I was a kid but was fearful at the same time
because I didn‚t know how to swim. You will find this
story under (MYFIRSTSWIM.doc) in the files section.
The pool area had several vending machines around it
and was viewable by people eating at the restaurant.
I thought for sure that someone would say something
about me swimming in my clothes while using the
vending machines but all I got was a glance. My boss
even walked by several times (he never used the pool
though) and never said a word. There was only two
times out of the 5 days that I had a confrontation.
They are
1. There was a bunch of kids ages 6-12 having a
birthday party there and were in mostly the shallow
end. I walked out of my room and jumped right into
the deep end in jeans and t-shirt. I didn‚t get the
attention I expected but did hear a few whispers and
heard the words swimming in his clothes. After a
while they were called to there room except for the
two oldest who were allowed to play some more. They
kind of ignored me but saw them glance at me quite a
bit. I got out and went to the hot tub. They huddled
in the pool and were whispering in each others ears
and then got out of the pool and into the hot tub with
me. Boy were they talkative. What shocked me the
most is that they never asked me why I was wearing my
clothes but just wanted to talk to me. My boss came
out of his room once and sat by the hot tub and never
said anything about me being clothed. I only had my
legs in the tub at the time so it was a no brainier
what I was wearing in the hot tub. My boss didn‚t
stay long and after he left the girl challenged me to
a race. Being very inexperienced in swimming in
general I of course lost. But I was having more fun
:>) They then started doing a variety of jumps and
splashes in the pool and challenged me to do the same.
What a blast. They were then called to there room to
eat. I am surprised the parents let them play with me
and didn‚t label me as some kind of freak. Just goes
to show you it really isn‚t that big of a deal. Just
unusual.
2. This was a busy day at the pool. When I got in no
one was around but it didn‚t take long before a whole
family came by the pool. Its funny I don‚t recall
anyone saying anything just a bunch of looks. There
was an older couple who just sat in a chair in there
swimwear. Makes no sense to me. The family didn‚t
stay in the pool long and after they got out of the
hot tub I jumped in and after a couple of minutes a
guy and girl came out of there rooms and stepped into
the hot tub. The lady immediately mentioned that I
was wearing jeans and even grabbed my pants legs and
pulled my leg out of the water to show her male
friend. I don‚t know if she saw me before or had
really good eyes. She asked me if it felt good and I
said yes. Even though it does my main motivation is
biblical modesty but you already know that. I was not
bold enough at the time to tell them that so that is
as far as it went. We talked for quiet a while and
then they went into the pool and I joined them for a
minute and went back to my room. Unfortunately the
other hotel we stayed at did not have a pool. Please
check out me business trip #2 and check back for other
real life cases in my adventures swimming clothed.
Also check out the Theme Park Regulations file for
water parks that allow swimming clothed due to
Christian convictions. Thank You!Business Trip #2
I went on a 10 day business trip a while back and
after getting permission from the hotel I swam in
jeans and t-shirt in the pool and am going to tell of
my experience here as to hopefully help others to do
the same.
I stayed at a total of 2 hotels. Both had outdoor
pools and hot tubs. The first one I stayed at was
advertised as heated but my nervous system screamed at
me that it was not. The hot tube was ok though. My
first night was the only night I had a chance to swim
in daylight because it was the day I flew in and the
rest of the time I was busy working. The pool in this
hotel was fairly inactive which made it easier to do
something that is unusual and sometimes looked down on
and labeled as a freak. This was the first time in
the pool for 5 months and it took a little while to
get use to the resistance when swimming clothed.
(Also as an adult I have only been swimming for 3
years). This of course brings up a good point that it
is important to swim regularly clothed in order to
build up your strength so you will not drown if for
some reason you end up clothed in a lake or have to
spontaneously save someone else. The few seconds you
would spend taking off you clothes could be all the
time they need to drown beneath the surface. This is
why I would like to get a membership at the local
YMCA. Unfortunately there pool hours clash with my
busy schedule. Anyways, after a short while some
maintenance people came by to check the ph and the
pump house. They looked at me but not necessarily in
an unusual way and didn‚t stair as I expected they
would. One person even skimmed some leaves off the
pool in the shallow end but stayed away from the deep
end where I was. But I don‚t recall seeing any leaves
in my end of the pool either. Walking back to my room
(I had to walk outside across a parking lot) I would
get maybe a glance from someone and if I walked past
someone talking they would just be dead silent as I
walked back to my room. They must have so many things
going through there head that they become speechless.
There was only two more nights that there was activity
in the pool area at this hotel. While I was in the
pool one night two guys came down (approx 40 yrs of
age) and got into the hot tub. I just swam and
splashed around and I could hear them talking and
occasionally would glance over at me. I wouldn‚t
consider this to abnormal though. I guess if I was
bolder I would have got out and jumped in several
times to make sure they knew I was clothed. They got
out and went back to there rooms after about a half an
hour. I would say that most of the time I would spend
about 2 hours give or take little in the pool or hot
tub. My last night there I was in the pool and there
was a lot of people and cars in the parking lot near
the pool. They were foreign and didn‚t speak English
or at least hid it. Since this pool was not heated I
decided to get into the hot tub. After only about 5
minutes 3 of the girls from that group came into the
area and got into the hot tub. They were talking like
mad and I am sure some of it was about me. After
about 15 minutes about 4 guys showed up and 2 slowly
got into the hot tub. It made me feel really
uncomfortable with them jibber jabbering and not being
able to understand a word they were saying. The cool
part is that all they could see was that I was wearing
a t-shirt. Well it was about 10 minutes until the
pool closed and I wanted to get out before then so I
jumped out of the tub put on my sandals, grabbed my
towel and started walking to my room. The split
second I climbed out of the tub with my jeans on there
was absolute silence from everyone. I just walked off
like it was nothing. Like I said before they must
have so many things going through there head they
become speechless.
The next hotel I stayed at was a lot nicer and heated
to about body temperature. Infact I didn‚t even use
the hot tub because the pool was relaxing enough. One
thing bad about this hotel was that I was on the third
floor and the stairs were only used when the elevator
breaks down or an alarm would sound. Also the only 2
elevators were right by the front desk and restaurant.
This made me uncomfortable but since I had permission
from the management I decided to go ahead with the
plan. This pool was visible from the part of the
restaurant that was outside. Several times people
would walk over to the gate and look in and then walk
away. I don‚t know if they noticed me in my clothes
or not. I later found out that they did not lock the
gate at night and the pool looked as if it was suppose
to be open. I took advantage of this and swam late at
night for more privacy. There were only 2 nights
where there was anyone else by the pool. The best one
was my second night there. There were about 6 guys
hanging around a table drinking beer when I walked
into the pool area. They were on the shallow end of
the pool so I went down the ladder on the deep end
(6ft). It‚s funny that they saw me go in but acted
like they didn‚t even notice. After about 15-30
minutes they walked past me and went into the hot tub.
Two of them stayed out and I noticed they were
wearing jeans. I hope that wasn‚t what was stopping
them. Well I stayed in the pool for a long time and
they talked amongst themselves like I wasn‚t even
there. The 2 guys wearing pants left a couple times
to get beer and pizza. The hot tub was only about
10-15 ft from the pool so they had to of noticed me.
Also they appeared to be friends with the bartender
because he came out and talked with them and even
brought out a bunch of ice for them once. He walked
right by me going to them and made no indication of
shock. When I finally stepped out of the pool I
can‚t recall if they were quiet or keeped talking. I
am assuming they keeped talking or else I would have
remembered. While going to the elevator I never had
any unusual confrontation from anyone. I think most
people just try to act like they didn‚t notice because
they don‚t know how else to react. Its like, I am not
doing anything wrong, it‚s just unusual and no one
really knows why. What else is a person suppose to
do. I would have probably acted the same way.
Besides the occasional peak over the gate by people
the only other confrontation was from my last night.
The pool closed at 11pm (even though they didn‚t lock
anything) and I stayed in the pool until about 2pm
when the security guard came and peaked over the gate.
He didn‚t say anything but just walked off. About a
∏ to ≤ hour later he came back and slowly walked to
where I was and kindly informed me that hotel
management wanted everyone out of the pool by 11pm. I
apologized and as he walked off I got out of the pool
and headed back to my room. He said nothing to me
about me swimming in clothes. Well I hope you enjoyed
the story and I will post more of my vacation and
business trips. I will do my best to keep all of them
wet. I am hopping a few things in my schedule and the
YMCA schedule will change and allow me to swim at the
Y on a regular bases. Also be sure to check the
„Theme Park Regulations‰ for a listing of water parks
that will allow you to swim clothed because of
Christian beliefs.
SwimclothedIt is always good to hear
people benefit from my
group. Before going to the YMCA you may want to call
a few hotels up and ask them the question. This will
get your hopes up and give you some motivation and
encouragment and then when you talk to the YMCA you
can tell them that you havent had any problems with
hotels before you ask them the question. I think the
only problem you may have is that they may require you
to swim in synthetic materials. Most YMCA's have
lifeguard classes and water safety classes where they
require people to swim clothed for some time so it
isnt like they have never heared of swimming clothed.
Also let me know how it turns out and then visit the
poll section of my group where you will find a poll
where you can post your results. Only one person
aswered no but I cant get ahold of him because he has
a bad email address. If there are any more files you
cant open just email me with the name and I will copy
and past it to an email for you. The document is sent
out to all new members automatically. Good luckI live in the mideast of the
USA. I have called
numerouse hotels in this area and numerous hotels
around the country (when planning a vacation or
business trip) and have yet to have one say no. 90%
of the time they will say yes without hesitation and
some of the time will hesitate and then say they dont
know why it wouldnt be ok. I have called 3 YMCA's.
The closest one (15min away) told me she didnt think
it would be a problem but I would have to clear it
with the aquatics director. So I called back later
and surprisingly she actually seamed happy that I
asked. She did ask me what I was planning on wearing
and I told her I usually wear jeans and tshirt at the
lake and she said that would be fine she just prefered
I didnt wear sweat pants because they hold to much
water and make a mess. The other two were out of
state on business trips and they specified synthetic
material. I have never had a problem with a hotel
being specific on material or saying no. If you want
you can email me the phone # of a hotel near you that
has a pool and I will call and explain to them my
personal convictions and ask them if it would be ok to
wear a clean pair of pants and shirt in the pool to
keep my body covered in a public establishment. Also
just for a little history before I discovered this I
would call hotels in the winter when shorts were not
redily available and call hotels and tell them I was
on a trip and forgot to bring my swimtruncks and asked
them if I could swim in a clean pair of pants. Most
would say yes very hesitently and would clarify that
that was against there policy. I did keep track of
the ones that said no and also said no to a tshirt (to
keep warm) and called them later after I discovered
this new technique and they ALL said yes without
hesitating when before they said no instantly. I even
called one back later to talk to a differnet person
and he said yes to. I hope this covers everything.
Since you seam to really be interested in this I am
going to send you copys of a few other files that are
on my site (in windows format) that tell storys of a
few of my business trips and also there is a directory
of some water parks that I called and the only one
that said no on swimming in jeans and tshirt was Cedar
point who clearly states that you must have shorts
above the knees. They are by far the strictest.
SwimclothedTheme Park Regulations
Here I will have a listing of water parks that have
either answered yes or no to allowing someone to
participate in the park in a pair of pants and shirt
because of ones Christian convictions. You can find
more information on how I ask this question in
modestygroup.doc in the files section. If you have
one to add please let me know the details and I shall
add it to this list. If you have one you would like
for me to check on for you just give me the details
and I shall check for you. My email is
Generally this is the question that I ask. „I have a
question about your dress code. My Christian beliefs
require me to keep my body covered in public
establishments. Would it be ok to wear a clean pair
of pants and t-shirt while using your water park? I
do have a pair of JEANS that have a Velcro fly and
drawstring front instead of a button. Will this
comply with your no buttons, rivets, zippers and
buckles policy? Thank you for your reply in advance.‰
As you will notice after asking about pants and
t-shirt I mentioned that I have a pair of JEANS (to be
more specific). If they are ok with this then all you
have to do is take the pair of jeans you want to use
and remove the zipper and button and sew in some
Velcro and string to meet there policy‚s.
I usually email but if they have 1800 # I will call
that.
1. Wet n Wild in Orlando FL. www.wetnwildfl.com
I emailed them and asked the question. The reply was
very good. He said my jeans with the string and
Velcro sound fine. But he did mention that they had a
small percentage of body slides that require shorts
and no shirt due to safety. He was very specific that
it was a very small percentage. He also said that he
covers as much as he can and still has fun. I emailed
him again trying to get a better idea of what he wore
and told him that I didn‚t like to stand out and was
wondering what peoples reactions are to this and he
said that they have a few guests that chose to wear
full coverage and that I shouldn‚t stand out that
much. (I think I would stand out more than he
thinks.) He did say that the only problem I might
have is with the lifeguards but made it clear that it
was for my own safety. It looks like to me that if
you have the right clothes you might be able to swim
clothed without being a Christian.
2. Kings Island Cincinnati, OH www.pki.com
They had no email so I called them. The lady that I
talked to said it would be fine and suggested that I
wear sweat pants or track pants because no zippers
etc. I told her about my jeans with Velcro and how
they don‚t cling and are less revealing than other
pants and she said it would be fine as long as there
were no rivets. One thing cool about this park is
that the Water Park and dry part of the park come with
the same admission and you don‚t have to change
clothes when going back and forth. Just think of the
time you would save. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
3. Wet N Wild Las Vegas www.wetnwildlv.com
Emailed them and no reply yet
4. Cedar Point Sandusky, OH
www.cedarpoint.com
I
emailed them and they have a very strict policy and
are very specific about swimwear only and being above
the knee and no street clothes. I did not get a
reply to my email so I called them. On my first call
I was told to call back at a different time because
the people in charge of the water park were not in at
that time. The person did say that they have seen
people in the water park in jeans and t shirt but
still said I would have to ask the proper people.
After calling again I was told that t shirts would be
allowed but NO pants were allowed. They said it was a
safety issue and it could snag on some of the slides.
I didn‚t push it any further because in there written
policy it states that shorts must be above the knee.
If you really want to wear pants in there park I would
suggest at the time you go there you ask them if there
are any rides or areas you could still use while
wearing pants. So far this is the only park that
would not allow pants on the slides. Cedar point has
the best roller coasters in the world so I am not to
upset. If anyone has any luck wearing pants there
please let us know.
5. www.thebeachwaterpark.com Cincinnati,
OH I
called them and the lady I talked to said they would
have to look at them to make sure it would not cause
of problem with the slides but there may be a few
rides that I couldn‚t go on but it will be up to the
aquatic management at that time. She said she wanted
me to still be able to have fun but just wanted to
make sure I was safe. Basically I would be allowed in
but may not be able to use the more aggressive rides.
This just in. I emailed them before I saw the phone #
and I copyed and pasted there reply. {„In response to
your email question regarding the permissibility of
wearing long pants and shirts on our water rides, our
park does have a required code of attire. We do not
permit individuals wearing garments with grommets,
buckles, zippers or protruding decorative attachments
to ride our water slides as these attachments will
damage the surface of the slide and may cause injury
to the wearer or future riders. As a rule,
non-bathing attire is not permitted to be worn into
any of our pool or attractions.
However, we certainly would like for you to have the
opportunity to enjoy our waterpark, and do so while
remaining consistent with your religious beliefs about
public exposure. It is our recommendation that you
talk with one of our Aquatics Department Managers upon
your arrival at The Beach. Our Guest Relations office
located in the main park entry plaza will assist you
in contacting a Manager. The Manager will assess your
garments and advise you as to what participation
restrictions you may have in our facility. Their
decision will be focused on ensuring your safety when
you ride the slides or swim in the pools in our
facility.
We thank you for your interest in visiting The Beach
and hope this information answers your questions. We
look forward to entertaining you this summer at The
Beach Waterpark‰}
6. Wyandot lake (six flags park) Powell OH
1800-328-9283 Called and left a message. Didn‚t get
a call back so I called them during business hours.
There policys are similar to cedar points. They said
they will allow shirts on slides that have tubes but
no body slides and no pants allowed. Now she was just
reading the policy but if you show up and talked to
the management there they would probably let you in
but may give you some restrictions on some of the
rides. I am sure it is more insurance related than
anything else. I would like to get lifeguard
certified so I could let them know that I can handle
swimming clothed. It would give me a little extra
edge.Interesting story. When I
was a kid I sometimes was
home alone but not very often and never knew when they
were going to show up. I would take clothed baths
similar to yours. I had a mildew problem to but was
always able to get them dry in time before it got out
of hand. One time they came home right after a
clothed bath and was wondering why the bathtub was
wet. I cant remember how it turned out but they never
found out but may have suspected what I was doing.
Anyways I found the end a bit interesting with you
stating your parents were trying a home business. I
have been trying several businesses over the years and
just started one Sat that I feal is the best of them
all. They give you a 100% 6 month money back
guarentee if you do not make at least 2,700 a month
(yes a month) in 6 months time. Please check out and
have your parents check out my website for more info
and dont be afraid to email me with questions. The
address is www.easymoney.4x2.net Also if your
parents are making money at there business I would be
interested in knowing more about it. I am actually in
4 businesses right now but the one I just gave you is
the best of them all. My business is already growing.
p.s. As far as being arrested for playing in a
fountain clothed. They wouldnt be arresting you for
being clothed but for playing in the fountain, if
there are such laws against that which there probably
are. They didnt ask for my name or
ask where I am from so I
never told them. WHen you do ask them I would use the
words "clean SHIRT and PANTS in the pool" instead of
actaully saying jeans and t shirt. Let them ask you
what you are planning on wearing or even if they tell
you to wear synthetic material just suggest to them
that you swim at the lake in jeans and t shirt and
feal more comfortable in them because they do not
stick to you as much and are less revealing. This may
give you a better chance at betting permission. Also
try to wear lighter colored clothing that are still
not see through. Alot of pools are picky about dye
leaking out of clothes. IF you were to go in in dark
jeans and they saw the dye come off they would
probably stop you from doing it any more. I dont know
your parents well but since they know you like to get
your clothes wet maybe if you explained it to them
that you want to exercise and learn how to swim better
you can convince them to let you take swimming
lessons. And then tell them that you want to stay
clothed because you feal more comfortable that way
maybe they would help you get permission to swim
clothed at the Y. Its just a thought though. Will
call the hotel later and let you know what they say.Something to think
about is that some pools do not allow long hair and
may require you to wear a shower cap or something.
Hair is a bigthreat to the filtration system. Clothes
are not. I have been using a hot tub in the winter for
3 years and always wear clothes in them and never had
any problems controling the ph or abnormal problems
with the filters plugging up. The filters plug up
with skin, hair and oils but never had abundance of
cotton. The clothes probably keep the loose skin and
hair from getting in the water. Called the hotel and
the lady that answered the phone said that she would
not have a problem with me swimming in a clean shirt
and pants. In the past when I called and got
permission I never actually got permission again when
I arived at the hotel. I just swam in my clothes. I
never had any problems with them stopping me and if
they would I would just tell them that I called and
what was said. There was one time before I
discovered this technique I was planning on a trip and
called a hotel and told then that I forgot my
swimtrunks and asked if it would be ok to swim in a
pair of pants. They said it was ok. I called again
and to talk to someone else and again they said it was
ok when when I arived I asked again and they repeated
there pool policy to me that they would only allow
swimwear in the pool. At that time there was a bunch
of kids there for several days for some reason and
alot of them swam in regular short with underwear on
so I swam in a pair of jean shorts with no problem.
The security gueard came around once to lock up and
when I got out he didnt say a thing. For some reason
I never thought of using my religious convictions as a
reason to swim clothed but it works. I am still
trying to think of a good (sure fire) way for non
religious people to swim clothed so we can all enjoy
it.In kings island the rides and
water park are included
together so you can go to the water park and then ride
some rides to dry off and jump back and forth without
changing. And yes they would allow the wave pool but
some rides may be restricted. I am assuming that they
are afraid of them getting caught on something or
maybe your shirt puled over your head and you
panecking. It is new to me that water parks would
allow this. It seams to be a sure fire way to swim
clothed. I am thinking of going to orlando fl this
winter for a week or two and go the the wet and wild
there. If you read what I said about them the person
I emailed said he keeps his body clothed while using
the park also. Really cool.I found the
official YMCA moto. IT is "To put Christian
principales into practice through programs that build
health spirit mind and body for all people in our
community" Modesty in dress would be considered a
Chrisitan pricipal according to there moto they
couldnt refuse you to wear clothes in the pool. They
could refuse a certain material though. Dont know how
to force them to let you wear jeans except for telling
them that you feal more comfortable in jeans because
they dont cling to you and or less reveling. THere is
not much more I can do. You will have alot of people
ask you questions if you decide to swim clothed there
so talking to them would only help you in talking to
others.I wouldnt think it owuld be
necessary to mention aobut
the netherlands but if push comes to shove you could
try showing them the pictures. The fact that it is a
different country with different customes may be more
of a disadvantage than anything. I wouldnt suggest it
is a different country unles they ask. Usually if
they have water safety courses they let people swim in
clothes at least once so they know how much harder it
is to swim clothed. I think you mentioned before that
you are not a good swimmer so taking lessons would be
a good idea. At least there shoulc be less people in
the pool and locker room so you will be more
comfortable swimming clothed in public. I learned how
to swim just a few years ago and was only 1 other
person in our (winter) adult class. The instructor
told me that if I felt more comfortable I could wear a
tshirt. It blew me away that she said that. But I
was to shy to do it because no one else did. I
probably could have swam in jeans if I would have
asked. (or acidentaly forgot my siwm trunks which I
thought about doing but chickened out) I have changed
alot since then. I am a very shy person that does not
like attention. Sorry I kind of got off the subject.
I would wirte down there moto that I sent you on a
previous email and bring that to there attention. I
cant see how they could refuse you to swim clothed
after that. You may want to think about what you will
wear if they want you to wear synthetic materials.
Swimming in that is better than nothing. Good luck.I Am Going To Ask The YMCA In
Chillicothe
Make sure you explain your convictions first and then
ask them about swimming clothed. When they say yes
ask them about taking lessons to become a better
swimmer. They probably allow lifeguard trainees to
swim in clothes at least once so I dont see why they
would make a big deal about it. Let me know h ow it
turns out. You can do it I know you can :>)If you handle
it correctly I dont see why there would be a problem
swimmin clothed. I would highly suggest bringing
extra clothes. I am sure you dont want to soak the
interior of someones vehicle with pool water and I
dont think they will want you walking through the Y
with wet clothes on. Also they will probably frown on
you wearing the same clothes in the pool that you
walked in with so plan on bringing in the clothes you
will swim in and change into them before going into
the pool. (it will look cleaner) I think it is a
federal law that you must shower before going into the
pool. Dont know how well they enforce it. When I was
a kid we went on vacation to Chillicothe to see a
outdoor drama called Tucumsa. (about an indian) Are
they still haveing that. I was young at the time but
really enjoyed it.When I took swimming lessons at
the Y since I didnt
have a membership I was allowed to swim there once a
week and when I did the pool was always busy and were
mostly kids that wasnt fully mature (physically)yet.
I dont like to see naked men either and anyone that
does just isnt right. In all actuallity it is totally
unnecessary to shower naked in front of others. Here
is what I did in swimming and scuba lessons. I would
wear a really long shirt that would go past my
midsection so when I took off my underwear and stuff I
would still be covered unless I bent over really far
or sat down. I would then put on my swimwear, take
off my shirt and then shower. WHen coming out of the
pool I would shower in my swimwear and then dry my top
area first and put my long shirt on, take off my
shorts, dry off some more, install underwear and
pants. Everyone else would shower in there trunks
also but then strip naked, dry off and cloth
themselves. Some seamed to take along time before
dressing themselves like they enjoyed being naked in
front of other men. Thats deffinately not me. No
body ever gave me a hard time for doing this and I
also did not look at anyone else when showering. I
got in and out. I know that some people (like in
school) showered in there underwear and was made fun
of but as long as they are not staring at everyone
else I dont see why anyone would care. Hey with all
of the homosexuals out there now days it is best to
cover yourself up to keep them from being tempted any
more than neccessary. The environment I was in with
all the young kids in the locker room would be a
perfect environment for a pervert. They would just
love to be naked in front of all of those boys, and
show off there matured body and look at them and have
them look at you but someone who is not a pervert I
would think they would want to cover themselves and do
your job and get out so I say wanting to cover
yourself even around the same sex is perfectly normal
for a sain human being. What I would do is eather
shower in your underwear or shower in a pair of swim
trunks and then put your clothes over that unless the
Y wants you to shower fully clothed but I would think
that would make it harder to get your body cleaned
unless maybe they want you to shower both ways. That
would be them to decide. Just make sure your hair is
wet.
I seriously went to the Y this winter and almost
signed up. When I looked at the pool schedule It
sayed that the swim time that I could make it to was
right after swim practice for a school and I really
felt uncomfortable being around all of the nakedness
in the mens locker room so I chickened out even though
they gave me permission to swim clothed. The perfect
time to swim there would be in the morning during lap
swim where there are only a few older people there
instead of a bunch of kids splashing around in the
water but I cant make it during that time. Maybe if
this home business takes off that I signed into last
week I can make enough money to go full time and swim
at the Y. Hope this answered your question. Some Questions:
Question 1: What do you mean by synthetic clothes?
Question 2: If I told them my convictions and also showed them the
pictures
of the 30 kids do you think that they will let me wade in a sweatshirt,
jacket, or a long sleeved shirt?
Question 3: If I call the hotel and they say yes, should I actually go
down
there and wade in thier pool first?
Question 4: Do you think that they will let me take swimmig lessons
wearing
clothes?
Question 5: What work do you do?
Question 7: What business do you own?
Question 8: If I can learn to swim in clothes will I have to explain my
convictions or show them the picturs each time? Or will they just
know who
I am and what convictions I have and let me do it without question?
Question 9: Do you think I can convince them into setting up a class for
kidss and adults and let them learn to swim in clothes? This
would require
that I show them the pictures to do this...
Qustion 10: You said you live in the Mideast of the USA where are you
exactly, I mean what state do you live in? I may want to visit you
sometime.
Question 11: Do I have call the Y first or hotel first? Or
should I just go
there in person and tell them my convictions and/or show them the
pictures
and then ask them if I could take their private lessons and learn to
swim
wearing clothes?
Question 12: Will I have to shower in the clothes that I brought
with me to
wear in the pool before I get in?
1. synthetic would be polyester or nylon which is
what swimwear is made out of. Something like track
pants that basketball players wear over there
synthetic shorts before a game. Diver shirts and
pants are made out of that and elastic so they will
fit tight. They dont feal as good as cotton in my
opinion but some people like thme especially in europe
it is really popular.
2. Dont know. they would probably frown on it if you
did it all the time because it will weight you down
more but if you ask during your swim lessons they
would probably let you do it just so you will know how
much harder it is to swim that way.
3. The hotel may only allow guests in there pool and
not have any kind of a membership so you would have to
ask them first. you will probably have to pay for a
room to do that. Most hotel pools are not as big as
the Y so I would go there first.
4. I dont see how they can stop you from covering
your body in a public establishment if you are
convicted about it. its part of there moto to uphold
to Christian principles. Modesty is a Christian
principle
5. Truck Mechanic
6. Did not find a question 6
7. I thought I gave you a link to my website but here
it is http://www.myturnkeypc.com/jaewing I just
signed up last week and the business is only 2 months
old and is growing fast. There is another one that I
signed up in today that is less of an investment and
looks very promising. There is only an initial 16.50
investment and they market the business for you. the
link is http://www.123dango.com/index.php?uid=814
I thought I emailed you the first one before but I may
not have. I didnt get a link from you on the business
you are in. You can forward it to me if you want and
I will check it out. I have tried several and have
lost much money and have learned from my mistakes.
8. Once the lifeguards know who you are you wont have
to unless a new one showes up unless they told them
about you.
9. I would just worry about getting permission to
swim clothed first and worry about the rest later.
They probably wouldtn want a bunch of people swimming
clothed so they probably wouldnt allow it so dont
mention it until long after you have permission so
they can see that no harm is really dont when swimming
clothed. The more improvement you make swimming
clothed the more likely they are to see a benenfit
from swimming clothed so make sure you make a good
impression.
10. I am very reluctant to give out much personal
information but I live in Indiana but please dont let
anyone know. I have heared about some crazy things
happening over the internet.
11. Theyve already been called but if you want to
call them personally you may but if you do you will
still have to talk to them when you show up so they
know it is you so you might be better off to talk to
them when you get there. It may not be a bad idea to
call to be sure the aquatics directro is there because
he will be the one to make the final decision and if
he is not there you amy have to return later to talk
to him.
12. I touched on that question on the last email.
Hope this helps. Just take it one step at a time and
try not to be nervous. I know it is hard. I got
through it every time I swim at a hotel but get over
it soon. Others really dont make a big deal out of
it. They are probably more concerned about what you
think of them than what they think about you. I think
most people dont like swimmign half naked and probably
wonder what it would be like to swim clothed.Forgot to tell you in last
email that my swim lessons
were only $25 for 6 sessions (weeks) and allowed me to
go once a week to practice. I am assuming your prices
are for private lessons. Mine were not private but
luckily only had one other person in pool. The winter
class is small. I wanted to take it last year clothed
but it falls during the same time as Church. I had to
keep my priorities straight. Maybe the schedule will
change this winter?I know it is
either a state or federal law that you must shower
before entering the pool. Even if you shower and swim
in the clothes you swam in you couldnt go home soaking
wet in clorin water. You would freeze to death in a
couple minutes in the winter time and soak the
interior of the transportation vehicle so you are
going to have to change clothes. I dont know how the
locker rooms are set up but maybe you can go to one of
the bathroom stalls and dry off and change into dry
clothes. You will have to talk to them about how they
want you to shower. Its totally up to them. I know
some require people with long hair to wear a hair net
but that is up to them also. YOur probably right on the hair
net thing. I remember
seeing that posted on some hotel pools but never seen
it enforced. If they ask you to do something like
that I wouldtn put up to much resistance. Letting you
swim clothed would be a big enough step for them to
make. I just wouldnt want you to do anything that
would make them change there mind. Remember since you
are using your religious convictions to swim clothed
that you must also conduct yourself in a Christian
manner or they may not beleive you. Since you have
been to the Chillocothe Y do you remember if they had
bathroom stalls in the locker room. Maybe you cna
change in there. I used the shirt to cover my
most private area but I
personally dont have a problem with exposing my upper
body in front of the same sex. There is not much
around that unless you can change in a stall which the
Y in my area does not have one unless I go to the
lounge area. I just used the long shirt to cover my
private area if you know what I mean. I wish more
would do the same because no one in there right mind
would want to see another naked man. That to me is
harder that swimming in front of others clothed. So
did you talk to your mom about getting transpertation
to the Y or are you taking the bus.I have a hot tub and go in
clothed all the time. The
filter gets plugged with hair and skin and oils from
your body but I never saw any build up of cotton and I
wear the same clothes in it all the time and the
clothes are not dissapearing on me or anything and it
is only a 200 gal hot tub. If it wont hurt that it
wont hurt a pool. Something else I thought of was
that flannel shirts are more prone to leak out dye
than other shirts so you may want to try to wear
something other than flannel. I would just hate to
see them change there mind if dye starts to come out
of your clothes. It would just confirm there fears
about hurting the pool. If they let you take lessons
clothed they should let you swim clothed during other
swimming times. But in this country they
consider dye a contaminant to
water and if they see it they may freak out and change
there mind. I just dont want you to take any chances.
Flannel is made of cotton. ITs jsut the way it is
woven or something. The shirt you wore in the lake
white project looked like flannel to me and for some
reason they dont hold ther color very well. I have to
be very careful when washing the clothes because of
that. I turned everything blue once. Sometimes you
have to learn the hard way.
I havent had any problems with
hotels. IF you were to
use some other excuse to swim clothed they would say
no but you mention your convictions and they seam
almost happy to let you swim clothed. That is one
thing that this country has over others. Our
Religious rights (even though the gov is trying to
take that away.) I use my yahoo account just for my
swimclothed group and have other accounts for my
business and personal stuff. Yahoo is just to slow.
You may think mechanics make alot of money but you
dont have 20,000 in tools. While others are buying
houses and cars I am buying more tools and equipment.
I dont spend more money than I have to and wont spend
a bunch of money for email. Its not worth it. Now
you know why I am starting my own business. If I was
you and planning on swimming clothed during open swims
I would take an adult class at the Waverly Y. It is
closer and most adult classes are not very big and
cost alot less than personal training. Why dont you
call and ask them the cost for group adult swim and
how many people are in those classes. I know the
attendance drops off in the winter. I only had 1
other person in my class. IT made it reall easy for
me since I didnt know how to swim. This will save you
a ton of money so you can save it up to buy other
things. Christmas is coming soon you know.I noticed you were very strong
in your language about
he Y's policys on swimming clothed. I really wouldnt
get all rowled up over it. I am sure they will let
you swim clothed because of your convictions. If you
want you can call them to schedule an appointment for
your lessons and then ask them if you can learn to
swim clothed and why you want to swim clothed. If
they say no then you can talk to them more about it.
Just stay calm. It wont be a problem. I agree about
the dye that it shouldnt be a problem unless it is new
clothes. You just mentioned at one time that you
bought some new clothes and was going to wear those.
I just think that the more faded they are (without
being frayed) the better. The clothes will feal the
same no mater how dark the color.I've been getting wet fully
clothed since I was about
12. I'm not sure what got me started, but I enjoy it
as much now as I did when I was younger.
I'm fortunate to be able to get wet fully clothed, in
public several times a week, due to the type of
work I do. I wouldn't dream of going swimming in
normal swimwear.
I'll have a look at your pictures tonight. I'll send
you some of mine, although I don't have that many yet,
but I'm working on it.
Allt he best
Noel (SwimFC)I think I had seen someone in
the water fully clothed
on TV, and began to think about what it would feel
like. Not long after that I decided to try it. I
didn't wear all my clothes as I was a bit nervous. I
wanted to be able to remove them quickly if anyone
came in the room.
I wore only a long sleeve sweatshirt. I kneeled in
the bath first getting the bottom of it wet, watching
it change from a light grey to a dark grey. Then I
got the sleeves wet, then I turn around and sat down,
admireing the shiney and heavey sweatshirt. I'd lift
my arms out of the water and watch the water run off
my sleeves. It felt so great.
After this I moved on to wearing more and more. I now
always wear whatever I happen to be wearing, including
shoes.
All the best
NoelI teach swimming, and most of
the time I offer one to
one classes. This can be anyone from beginners to
people taking lifesaving courses.
For normal lessons, I'll wear shorts and a t-shirt in
the pool, but for the lifesaving, it can be any
conbination of clothes, including jeans, shirts,
sweatshirts etc.
It's the perfect job for someone into wet clothes.
My hobbies also include canoeing and scuba diving. I
canoe in my clothes too, however, if it is cold, I'll
resort to a wetsuit, but that's very rare. I'll send
you some pictures within the next couple of days.
By the way, I'm in the UK, not far from London.
Stay wet.
NoelWe are glad that you allow it
but netiher the YMCA here or the YMCA in
Chillocothe, Ohio allows such clothes to be worn in the pool, they don't
even allow t-shirts to be worn. This makes us very angry that
your country
would allow clothes in their pools and this one won't! They are
worried
about their precious filtration system! And that the threads and
dye from
the clothes would clog it up! We think that they worry too
much! We might
move to your location where they do allow it, since the USA is too
concerned
about the filters in their pools and don't even wear clothes when
teching a
lifesaving course they wear ONLY SWIMSUITS! That would make your
coutry
better than the USA and since we don't have the money right now to move
to
your country we'll just have to settle for all these damn restrictions
and
rules that this so called "LAND OF THE FREE" has! It would
seem that your
country has a lot more freedom than this one if they allow such things
there
and not here! That makes your country to us better than this one!
Because
they you do something that the pools of the USA don't allow us to
do! That
makes your country better to us! If they don't want us swimming
in clothes
even for lifesaving for CHRIST'S SAKE! Then they should deport us to
your
country where they do! We'll have a lot more freedom there and a
lot less
rules!
The filter excuse is rubbish. If a pool filter can
cope with sand, hair, and other things, the tiny
threads from clothes won't do any damage at all, after
all, a filter is supposed to stop catch things, so
whats wrong with them catching fibres?
I think in some ways we do have more freedom over
here, but saying that, a lot more people have their
own pools in the USA. That may be due to better
weather, but I think there's a lot more opportunity to
get wet in the US.
I used to be very shy about getting wet fully clothed,
but now its so natural to me. A couple of months or
so ago, I was walking from the pool to the changing
rooms and a boy of about 12-13 said, "Have you been in
the pool like that", "Yeah", I said. He just replied
with "COOOOOOOOOOOOL" I bet he got in the bath that
night with his clothes on.
I definately AGREE with you Noel! IT IS RUBBISH! although that is
not the particular word I had in mind but if I tell them that my shoes
that my brought with me are clean, do you think they would let me wear
them in the pool? I doubt it, But Just thought we'd ask...
They are an old pair of shoes they are the ones I wore in The Lake
White
Project I won't bring them to the first swimming lesson, but I will ask
them after they have given me permission to swim clothed I will ask
them
at the first swimming lesson if I brought a clean pair of shoes, if I
could
wear them in the pool? They would most likely so "NO!" but you
never
know until you ask! It makes me angry that people in your country
can wear clean shoes in the pool during open swims and WE CAN'T! during
our open swims, that makes your country better than ours and we just
might
move there! and take one of your classes! So we can wear what we
want
and not be so damned restricted by RUBBISH excuses for RUBBISH
rules!
That's the trouble with the USA they have entirely TOO MANY DAMNED LAWS
and TOO MANY DAMNED RULES FOR THEIR OWN DAMNED GOOD! They claim
that
we have rights that we don't have at all! The USA is nothing more
than "The Land Of Lies And Restrictions!" Are your filtration systems any
different in the UK than they are in the USA?
I would doubt it! But I just thought I'd ask... If they are
not then that means that they are the same in
Germany, The Netherlands, London, France, Japan, Tialand, And just
about everywhere else that they
let people swim in public pools fully clothed? By the way you
mentioned that in the advanced trainning that
they wear jeans, sweatshirts, t-shirts underneath, But do they wear
shoes and socks too? I need to know this information
so I can pass it on to the YMCA in Chillicothe and ours here as
well.
That if your filter can take that kind of abuse
and not get damaged in any way, SO CAN OURS! And I am going to
try to convince them of this plain ordinary common
sense would tell you that if 15 to 20 kids in the Netherlands can jump
into a pool fully clothed and their filtration system does not get
damaged, and even in your classes in the UK your filter does not
sustain any damage from the clothes that your students wear
either! So the pools here in the USA absoultly won't take any
either! It's just plain ordinary COMMON SENSE. that will tell you
and me and hopefully them this! And if they don't believe me I
have pictures I can show them pictures of these swimming lessons with
the 15 to 20 kids fully clothed in the pool. Then we'll see what they
have to say about that! But COMMON SENSE would
tell anyone that if their or your countries pools filters and pumps
don't
sustain any damage from kids and/or adults doing that they it is
obviously
not going to here in the USA Wouldn't you agree?
I'm pretty sure that swimming pool filters are the
same all around the world, there is no difference from
one country to another. The technology used over the
years hasn't changed much either, they still use the
standard sand method.
Filters are designed to cope with things like hair,
plasters, scabs and other nasty bits that may be
floating around in the pool, so tiny fibres that may
become detatched from an item of clothing is nothing
in comparison.
We don't often wear shoes in the pool, this is usually
saved for the open water swims, but when we do, they
have to be as clean as possible, which is fair enough.
Any pool that uses the filter excuse is talking
complete and utter rubbish.
All the best
NoelComing in October I am going to
take private swimming lessons, and learn to swim in my clothes if they
agree to let me do so. I will tell them that I have Chirstian
Convictions that require me to be clothed in public places including
pools. So they will either bend the rule about no clothes in the
pool or they will break their law and discriminate against my
religeon. In the pool, or out of the pool because of my
convictions, I cannot be half naked (top and bottom exposed), or I
definatly cannot be completly naked (everything exposed) in
public! So they would have no choice but to let me do this! Jeff
Ewing you know him
from Wacky Wet is a friend of mine and we talk to each other through
e-mail.
And he says that if they see dye leaking into the pool from my clothes,
that they will not let me learn to swim in them or swim in them when I
practice
what I've learned between classes. I think that this is B.S.
sorry
for the profanity but it is B.S. When you and your Artbase models such
as
Kevin go into a pool with their clothes on, jeans, sweatshirts, long
sleeved
flannel or cotton shirts, sometimes coats and jackets, does the
pool
you use have a problem with dye leaking into it? I ask this
because
your pools and our pool are EXACLTY the same, they are built the same,
they
filter and pump the same too! And if dye was contaminating the
water
the the model(s) would get very sick and poisioned by the dye from
their
clothes. Some of Kevins pictures he had blue overalls on in the
pool,
other models had jeans, sweatshirts, coats and jackets, and I think
that
they wear shoes too don't they? And if they do not get sick from
if
any dye that comes off their clothes, then people who have public pools
in the USA would not get sick either, am I right or not? In the
Netherlands poolzemmermman I think that's how you spell it, 15 to
20 kids just in the pool wearing all kinds of pants and jeans,
sweatshirts, winter coats, jackets, and a few of them even had their
shoes and sock on! So you would think that if they were concerned
about the kids health and them
getting contamined by dye in the pool from their clothes, that they
would
not be teaching that class would they? And if it doesn't
contaminate
the pool and the kids in it, in the Netherlands then it's not going to
contaminate
the pools or people in them in the USA either! I will try to make
the
people at both the YMCA here in Waverly, and the one in Chillicothe see
it
this way, I will show them the pictures of these kids doing this and I
have
enclosed them with this e-mail, I will show them the pictures but won't
tell
them where they are from. I will tell them however, about their
pool
being the same as the one the they have and if any contamination would
occur
it would occur in thir pool same as this pool and not to be so worried
and
show a little common sense and faith in the people and things that they
have.
Just plain common sense would tell you that if those kids got sick from
dye contamination in the Netherlands pool, then they would not teach
such a
class there, like we don't here! It's just plain ordinary COMMON
SENSE
that it won't occur there or here either! Just plain COMMON SENSE
is all it is! And people who are trying to built a Chirstian
community
like the Y's do can't built it without faitth in everything besides
God.
And if they don't show faith in their pool or filtration system, they
they should at least show some common sense about it! Common
Sense would say that if those 15 to 20 kids in that class, don't get
sick from dye
contamination wheather or not it does come off their clothes. Then
common
sense would tell you that they would not get contaimated here
either!
It's nothing more that common sense, the pools are just in a different
location,
but they ALL function the same way! So dye in nothing to go into
a
full panic about! In the USA or anywhere else for that
matter!
Let me know ASAP as to what you think of this dye situation.
When you teach the advanced students lifesaving and they have jeans,
and sweatshirts on in the pool, does any dye come off their clothes and
into the pool at all? My friend Jeff says that the YMCA is
concerned about this and I thought since you taught a class where
people swim in clothes that I mentioned we thought that dye would be a
problem, So is it? I don't think so, but what do you think?
As you know, pools contain various chemicals which act
as a bleaching agent, so naturally things will fade
over time, however, this such a minimal amount that it
wouldn't be noticable in the pool. Most people who
wear jeans tend not to wear brand new ones which will
leak more die. Most wear fairly faded ones already.
Clothes which can be washed at 40 degrees with no
colour run will usually be ok in the pool.
Hope this helps.
NoelWhen I go to the YMCA in
Chillicothe and have gotten permission to learn to swim in my
clothes, before I sign up for the lessons
and pay anyone $130 which is almost all I have for one month,
they
will have to make a promise with me first. The promise is that
they
WILL NOT treat me like everyone else! They will not put thier matience
of
their pool or the pool itself, filteration sytem, pump, or the water in
the pool before me and my life. They have gotten away with that
from
a lot of members, but they will not get away with it with me!
They
will put my life and health before their pool and everything
associtated with
it. This is a promise that anyone associated with the pool MUST make to
me
and keep throughout my lessons with them. If they will not keep
this
promise, then I will learn to swim elsewhere or on my own (I might end
up
drowning) but noone will care anyway! They will just love
their
money and their pool think nothing more of me at all. The love of
money is the root of all evil! Which is why over half the USA is on the
highway to Hell. And when all the people who put money and
anything made by other people before any person and then die or on the
day of their judgement, they will find out only too late just how wrong
they were for believing his way and will spend eternity in Hell
wishing that they didn't! The USA has to change their evil
ways. If you say that a pool or the cost of maintaining it which
is loving money, is better than the people who give it to you, you are
also saying that you love money more than you love God! God's
greatest creation is men, women, kids, and children and if you put
material possesions money, pools, cars, buildings, houses, or anything
created by men and women, over the men, women, kids, and children of
the Earth they you are saying that that your man made possesion is
greater than God's creation and henceforth greater than God
himself! And you are doing the next worse sin than lying and that
is loving money more than God or his creation of people! I will
not tell them this unless
I have to, but I feel that I should anyway, they need to know the path
that
they have chosen does not lead to Heaven but straight to Hell. So
after
I get permission and before I pay a dime to these people at the Y, the
person
I talk with and all the acquatics staff who must be told everything
that
I have said are going to have to make that promise to me and keep
it!
And once that they see that I am right, they may not mind as much about
letting
others learn to swim or swim clothed in their pool anymore. They
will
see their error of their ways and make a leap of faith to correct
them.
And learn to put aside their material man made possessions, and learn
to
love people more than them. And this is not a difficult thing for
anyone
to do! Also, the pool is a bigger threat to clothes, than clothes are
to
the pool! They must know this also. So I think that I
should
be the one to tell them both at Chillicothe and Waverly where I will
practice
swimming in clothes. Both Y's have to make this promise to me and keep
it
when they do. And from then on, make the same promise to any new
members
that may join their facility.

plus the fluff and dirt that could come from clothes. Cleaning filters
costs money. What most pools don't realise is that by allowing people
to swim in clean clothes they might attract more customers.

In USA money comes before people. Learn to think that way and you win.
But it doesn't have to be this way! I will NEVER think this way at
all. It not the way that a Christian is supposed to think and if
the USA Y's continue to think this way then they are not raising a
communtiy especailly a Christian one! THEY WILL BE DAMNING
THEMSELVES TO HELL! And I WILL NEVER think this way in a million
years! They must change their ways and believe in me and what I
say to them being Chiristian if they are raising anything Christian
related then the must change their
ways to become like Christians! and by loving money more than people,
THEY
ARE NOT CHRISTIANS They are nothing but A BUNCH OF SINNERS and FALSE
BELIEVERS! Who only claim to want to raise a Chiritain related goal,
but all things considered they are false prophets. Leading their
flock in the wrong direction. And I won't get involved with people like
this unless they
change their ways. >>>Do you think that

Wear it in the bath until the bath water stays clear and uncoloured.

You don't get sick from dye contamination. The quantities are way too
low.Jimmy Kozee wrote:

Will We?
Please tell your parents to stop giving you misinformation. I work in a
law firm as a computer consultant. Here in UK indecent pictures of
under 16 y/o children are illegal.
"Indecent" means full frontal nudity, not fully clothed people like you
or even Kevin.
So relax. It's a non starter. You are safe, even in USA. Just don't use
other people pics as it could violate US copyright laws (DMCA).

Yes, that is about right.

Right on. Go for it!

Use clothes you've tested in bath first so they don't change the
water's colour.

We don't use clothes that are not colourfast.

Some pools are concerned about dirty clothes or those that come apart,
like cut off jeans. Use sportswear ro rainwear.

No, we're not really allowed to use shoes in pools for hygene reasons.
Clothes will put a small extra load on filtration systems. Some pools
will put up with this, others won't.

Dye contamination is just an excuse, it is not normally an issue
unless you use new clothes.

Indeed.

The Netherlands are a very forward thinking country. They realise that
childrens lives are more important than the extra cost of cleaning the
filters. So swimming in clothes is part of their swimmin courses, as
your pictures show.

I just wish I could convince the USA to think this way! Common
sense would tell you no matter where the pool is the same thing would
happen if it even happened at all! The USA should put the people
before the pool and not the pool before the people.Dye contamination is just an
excuse, it is not normally an issue unless you use new clothes.

I wore the shirt in the bath tonight. And except for just a very
very little cloudiness, the water was absoultly crystal clear!
Plus the color of the cloudiness did not match the color of the
shirt.
I think the cloudiness was due to the fact of the detergent in the
washing machine, I took it out of the washing machine as soon as it's
cycle was
over and put it on standing up in the tub and sat and laid down with it
on and waited for about 45 seconds wearing it and then took it off and
dunked
and swished it around in the tub for 1 minute and several times after
simulating me swimming in it, and no dye leaked from it at all that I
could notice. There might have been a very little but due to the fact
that our bathtub
is small it may have made it look like a lot! But I still think it was
detergent not dye. But as far as in a pool I doubt they would
even notice it
at all! I say a couple more washings and it will be fine and ready to
get
wet! As far as the black denim jeans, that's another story
altogether!
But they are quite old, and have been washed many many times and have
been worn in the bathtub 3 or 4 times with no dye leakage. The
only time they leaked any dye was the very first time I got them, they
were brand new and I took a bath in them and just a very very little
bit of dye that leaked out of them! The water was just a little bit
black it looked as if it was more dirt than dye, and the bath water was
about 70 degress Ferhenite. So I doubt it very seriously that there
will be any dye leak into the pool from any my clothes! And even
if I does, it would be such a very very little amount that it won't
even be noticed! Same as the shirt! Neither will leak out enough
dye (if any at all) to harm anyone else who swims
in the pool after my lesson is over! The care tag said to wash it with
cold
water, but I used warm/cold on the machine just to get most of the dye
out,
and it did! So I'd say 2 or 3 more washings before October rolls
around and there will be no problem with any of the clothes I choose to
wear
for my swimming lessons! But I will pick out 2 different sets of
clothes for the lessons, one time I might wear blue denim jeans and a
different shirt, or a different shirt and my black jeans, or
both. Anyway all we can do is HAVE FAITH! That's all we
need to worry about!
